It’s a precision prebiotic fiber that is plant-based and upcycled from carrot pomace – a side-stream of carrot juice production.
This unique structure is what sets Benicaros® apart from other prebiotic fibers, enabling it to provide more reliable gut health benefits. The impact of prebiotic fibers on the gut microbiota can vary based on the molecular structure and the distinct composition of microorganisms in each person’s gut. Benicaros has just the right structure to target beneficial microorganisms present in the gut of most individuals.

All NuSpring products — including NuSpring Nutrition Meal — contain resistant starch, a specific type of dietary fiber that has been scientifically shown and clinically validated to balance the gut microbiome and reboot metabolism. Resistant starch is actually so effective in its ability to improve blood sugar control, digestion, sleep, inflammation and more, that we conducted a gold-standard, double-blind controlled clinical study to validate these health benefits.

According to the National Celiac Association (NCA), the threshold for intestinal damage in adults with celiac disease is 10mg of gluten per day.
The formulated ingredients in Gutwell Cocoa and Gutwell Avocado are naturally gluten-free.
Please note:
Your safety is our priority. Therefore, our recommendations differ based on your specific condition:
A classic IgE-mediated food allergy to proteins found in wheat (which include but are not limited to gluten, such as albumin and globulin). Reactions can be rapid and severe, including hives, difficulty breathing, wheezing, or anaphylaxis.
It is not an autoimmune disease but an allergic one.
We strongly advise against consumption.
Suppliers’ as well as our manufacturing facility processes wheat. Even if the final product contains no wheat ingredients, the risk of allergen cross-contact during production is present.
For individuals with a Wheat Allergy, exposure to even microscopic traces of wheat protein can provoke a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction (anaphylaxis). Safety cannot be assured.
Non-coeliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) refers to individuals who report intestinal and extraintestinal symptoms related to the ingestion of gluten-based or wheat-based foods, in the absence of coeliac disease or wheat allergy.
There is no autoimmune attack on the intestine and no risk of intestinal damage or long-term complications from accidental exposure.
They may try GUTWELL with a careful introduction protocol.
We recommend starting with a small portion ½ serving to ensure personal comfort.
Monitor for your typical gluten-related symptoms such as bloating, gas, headache, fatigue, etc for 24-48 hours.
If no symptoms occur after 3-5 days of consistent ½ serving consumption, the consumers may increase to a full serving.
Continue with a full daily serving for one full week. If you remain symptom-free, you can consider it safe for regular consumption at the recommended dosage.
A serious autoimmune disorder where ingestion of gluten causes the immune system to attack and damage the lining of the small intestine (villous atrophy). This leads to malabsorption of nutrients and can cause long-term complications like osteoporosis, lymphoma, and other autoimmune diseases. Even trace amounts of gluten (as little as 10mg per day) can trigger this damaging immune response.
We strongly advise against consumption.
Gutwell products are processed on equipment that also handles gluten-containing grains.
While rigorous cleaning is performed, we cannot guarantee the absolute absence of gluten cross-contamination.
For someone with Celiac Disease, this represents an unacceptable risk of triggering an autoimmune attack and causing intestinal damage, regardless of whether immediate symptoms are felt.
The potential long-term health consequences are severe.
Maltodextrin on its own, when consumed in large amounts, is not ideal. However, in NuSpring Gutwell, the amount used is extremely small — less than 0.01% — and it is not used as a filler or sweetener.
🌿 Why is it included?
In this tiny amount, maltodextrin works as a natural stabilizer to protect sensitive ingredients like probiotics and prebiotics.
It helps ensure the product stays fresh, safe and effective throughout its shelf life.
💛 Is it harmful?
Not at all — especially at this amount.
To give you context:
✔️ Less than 0.01% is nutritionally insignificant
✔️ It does not affect blood sugar
✔️ It is safe even for diabetic individuals
✔️ It does not interfere with Gutwell’s health goals
For comparison, even a banana or a slice of bread would raise blood sugar much more than this microscopic amount — but in our case, the quantity is so minimal it won’t change anything in your daily intake.
🛡️ Why we still choose to keep it
Because it protects the product so that you receive the maximum benefits, especially for gut repair, gastric soothing and microbiome balancing.
Each serving of Gutwell contains 8.4g of sugar in Gutwell Cocoa and 6.7g of sugar in Gutwell Avocado. The sugar present is naturally derived from ingredients such as oat milk powder, cocoa powder, and soybean powder, which contribute to the product’s overall sugar content.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the recommended maximum daily sugar intake is 6 teaspoons (25g). Based on this guideline, Gutwell can be considered suitable for individuals who are mindful of their sugar intake, including diabetic patients.
Gutwell Avocado
Sugar content: 6.7g per 45g serving
Is this sugar level considered healthy?
Yes. WHO recommends that diabetic patients limit their daily sugar intake to no more than 25g. One serving of Gutwell Avocado contains 6.7g of sugar, which falls within this recommended range.
Is Gutwell suitable for non-diabetic individuals? Will it cause a sugar spike?
For individuals without diabetes, Gutwell is not expected to cause a significant blood sugar spike. Blood sugar levels typically return to normal within two hours after consumption due to a healthy insulin response.
Is Gutwell suitable for diabetic patients? Will it cause a sugar spike, and should it be taken with a meal?
Blood sugar response varies depending on the severity of insulin impairment, and not all diabetic individuals will experience a sugar spike after consuming Gutwell Avocado. If a sugar spike does occur, it is recommended to consume the product slowly to help delay sugar absorption and reduce the likelihood of a rapid increase in blood sugar levels.
Based on the lab analysis of our Soya Bean Powder, Nuspring Gutwell series has approximately 9.5 mg of isoflavones per serving. This is a relatively low amount of isoflavones, than the 25-50 mg daily intake from traditional soy-rich diets (refer to the link attached).
Also, soy isoflavones are phytoestrogens, not estrogen. They can bind to estrogen receptors in the body, but their effect is much, much weaker than the body’s own estrogen (estradiol)—estimated to be 100 to 1000 times weaker. In a low-estrogen environment (e.g., menopause), phytoestrogens can have a mild estrogenic effect. However, in a high-estrogen environment (which can fuel fibroid growth), they can act as antagonists. They occupy the estrogen receptors and block the more potent human estrogen from binding, thereby potentially reducing estrogenic activity.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16965235/
Human studies have found the estrogen effects of soy seem to either have no effect at all or may reduce breast cancer risk (especially in Asian countries, where lifelong soy intake is higher than in the US). This may be because soy isoflavones can bind estrogen receptors in the body and actually block the more potent natural estrogens in the blood.

Risk assessment for peri- and post-menopausal women taking food supplements containing isolated isoflavones
Food supplements targeted at peri- and post-menopausal women typically provide a daily dose of isoflavones in the range of 35–150 mg/day. A systematic review was performed to investigate whether an association could be found between intake of isoflavones from food supplements and adverse effects on the three target organs in peri- and post-menopausal women. The human data did not support the hypothesis of an increased risk of breast cancer from observational studies nor of an effect on mammographic density nor on proliferation marker Ki-67 expression in interventional studies. No effect was found on endometrial thickness and histopathological changes in the uterus up to 30 months of supplementation with 150 mg/day of soy isoflavones.
